Mike Cohn

The founder of Berkley Development, an Atlanta-based real estate firm, Mike’s career has spanned more than 15 million square feet of projects—including nationwide platforms of retail, office and mixed-use properties stretching from California to Florida and Maine, and values well in excess of $2B. Prior to founding Berkley, Mike was previously a co-founder of Lennar Commercial (a Miami, FL-based subsidiary of Lennar Corporation), which sold to a private equity firm in 2015, former Executive VP at Cousins Properties in Atlanta, and Senior Managing Director at Faison & Associates,

Mike holds a BBA with high distinction in Accounting and Finance from Emory University as well as a Juris Doctor degree with honors from the University of Florida College of Law.

Mike serves as a member of several non-profit boards—including the University of Florida Real Estate Advisory Board, ULI Commercial and Retail Development Product Council (Gold)(former Vice Chairman), and the ICSC and GA Bar members. He’s also an adjunct professor at Georgia State University teaching a graduate-level Real Estate Development course and has been a regular lecturer at the Goizueta School of Business (Emory), the Warrington College of Business (Florida), and the Kenan-Flagler School of Business (North Carolina). Mike and his wife live in Sandy Springs, Georgia and have a grown daughter.

Thomas Flanigan

Tom FlaniganTom Flanigan’s most recent experience was as a Senior Vice President with Clarion Partners (successor to ING Clarion and M.D. Hodges Enterprises). Tom directed all facets of the Company’s industrial real estate business in the Southeastern United States. His responsibilities included development, acquisitions, financing, and dispositions. He also performed the asset management of a portfolio consisting of office/warehouse properties valued at approximately $2 billion. The asset management role included the management of third-party leasing and property management teams. Tom was with the Company for 25 years.

Tom is the former President of the Fulton Industrial Business Association and served as Chairman of the Board of both the South Fulton Community Improvement District (CID) and the Fulton Industrial CID. He also served as a Board Member of the Marietta Gateway CID. Tom served as a Board Member of The Swift School located in Roswell, Georgia.

Tom is a cum laude graduate of The University of Michigan Law School and graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan with a BA in economics.

Tom and his wife live in Marietta, Georgia and have a grown son and daughter.
